Lufthansa and Austrian integrate sales and
service operations
Lufthansa German Airlines and
Austrian Airlines have started serving clients in India with a completely
integrated sales and service network. Starting January 11 2010, bookings and
reservations have been handled by a joint call centre. Since the beginning
of this year, sales managers have already started to represent both airlines
in the Indian market. Marketing, customer services and feedback management
are now jointly handled. A common corporate head office in Gurgaon
centralises all core functions on an all-India basis. This deep
collaboration in India has been made possible by the successful integration
of Austrian Airlines into the Lufthansa Group, which was completed last
year.
