IATO to host annual convention from September 3-6, venue to be
confirmed
Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has decided to host its 25th
annual convention from September 3-6. However, a decision with regard to the
venue of the convention is still pending. Gour Kanjilal, executive director,
IATO, said, “There have been instances in the past when convention of one
association has coincided with the other or happened back to back. As
associations like IATO, TAAI and TAFI have common members; it therefore
becomes difficult for members to attend all the conventions. Keeping this in

STATES
'Jet2Kerala' offers wide
range of holiday options to Kerala
Jet Airways and Kerala Tourism
recently announced the launch of 'Jet2Kerala', a new domestic travel
initiative, to boost arrivals in the state. ‘Jet2Kerala’ offers a range of
Kerala holiday options that includes air fares (travel by Jet)
accommodation, from luxury to budget hotels and houseboats. The packages
have been designed to cater across a range of price points.
For agents the commission is available on the hotel component on the cost of
package and not on the aviation component as the fares that are being
offered as part of Jet2Kerala packages deal are competitive and lower than
the existing fares. Jet Airways has also reserved some seats on its routes
to various destinations in Kerala.
For bookings through travel agents, all IATA agents registered through
Kerala Tourism, the booking request needs to be sent to the Jet Airways'
Kochi city counters, for the same to be created and the PNR sent to the
respective agent. Non-IATA agents may either contact their respective IATA
ticketing agent who will follow the above mentioned process, or come to the
Jet Airways' Kochi city counters themselves, create the PNR’s and make the
requisite payment at the counter itself.
