Coinciding with 90 years of its operations earlier this month, KLM Airlines recently announced a new product in the economy class. According to Pieter de Man, general manager India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, KLM Airlines, the carrier will offer about 34 to 40 seats categorised as premium economy class that will offer additional leg space and more recline and will cost an additional USD 100 to 150 of the economy class depending upon the leg space required. Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi office in association with TAAI Tourism Council recently organised an educational seminar in Bangkok and Hua Hin. About 20 TAAI agents from across India took part in the seminar. B2B workshops were followed by networking dinners. The platform offered TAAI agents to meet and interact with the Thai suppliers that included hoteliers and owners of golf courses and theme parks among many others.
