Starting October 31, Cathay Pacific Airways introduced a 3-class cabin configuration in First Class on the Mumbai-Hong Kong sector, enabling passengers travelling on the route, to experience absolute luxury. It highlights the importance of Cathay Pacific’s premium passengers to the Airline. This First Class product creates the ambience and convenience of a 5-star hotel room, giving passengers greater individual control over the immediate environment. The seats in First Class can be used as an armchair or a chair lounge (chaise longue). The bed is one of the largest provided by any commercial airline and the plush mattress, duvet and lumbar massage functions add to the comforts of the passengers. One can also enjoy a cinematic experience with a bigger, adjustable 17-inch, 16:9 personal television and noise-cancelling headset. In addition, 3 working surfaces and 110V AC power supply are provided allowing the suite to be converted into a workstation. For more details click here Top IndiGo starts daily flight service between New Delhi to Kathmandu at a return fare of Rs. 4,999 from October 28, 2011 IndiGo announced Kathmandu as its fifth international destination on the airline’s growing international network. The airline offers daily flight services between New Delhi and Kathmandu at an affordable return fare of Rs. 4,999 or NPR 8,063 (all inclusive) since October 28, 2011. IndiGo has also appointed M/S President Tours and Travel as its General Sales Agent for Kathmandu. The Airline recently announced the launch of Dubai, Bangkok, Singapore and Muscat as the other international destinations connecting from New Delhi and Mumbai. With this new development, all set to be launched in Bengaluru on November 3, 2011, will now allow travellers to fly with Jet Airways to Brussels and connect to the direct rail service from Brussels Airport to Paris City Centre with a journey time of less than 2 hours. Information shared by the company reveals that guests with onward connection on the codeshare train service to Paris Nord will be given their boarding pass at the first point of check-in. For example, if a guest is travelling to Paris from Bengaluru via Mumbai / Brussels connecting to the codeshare rail service will receive the rail boarding pass at the Jet Airways check-in counter at Bengaluru. STATES Kerala woos Australian trade by organising roadshows in Sydney and Melbourne As part of its initiative to increase its share of foreign tourism pie, Kerala Tourism Department recently concluded a two-city roadshow at Sydney (October 25) and Melbourne (October 26) in Australia. The roadshows included presentations on what made Kerala a super brand across the globe by screening the much-acclaimed ad film ‘Your Moment is Waiting’ and with B2B interactions to forge new collaborations and interactive sessions. "We hope that the efforts will be translated into business in the coming times as the trade members from Kerala and Australia were engaged into fruitful discussions,’’ said TK Manoj Kumar, Secretary, Kerala Tourism, who led the delegations to Australia.
